Welcome to The Nourished Soul! My deepest passion is to bring people the tools to transform themselves. I believe that our happiest, healthiest versions of ourselves are waiting for us to CLAIM them. I know, from personal experience, what it means to completely transform my life.
I got very, very sick with Crohn’s Disease when I was 7 years old. Crohn’s is an autoimmune disease that attacks any part of the digestive system. It can and often does ravage the body, and leaves you underweight, undernourished and in a great deal of pain. I would be continuously sick and in and out of hospitals, having multiple surgeries, until I was 26 years old.
My transformation…I went on a decade-long journey to unravel and uncover exactly what brought me to such a deeply diseased state (at such a young age) and completely transformed my health and mindset. Disease, after all, is born of both mindset and physical circumstances. What in my world had turned on the Crohn’s gene? How did I stay so sick for so long?
As I began to dive into myself, I learned things about myself that I would never had known, had I not lived with a chronic illness. I learned that I took everything in and didn’t digest it properly. I learned I didn’t let go easily…or at all. I learned that I was not facing certain truths with myself. I learned that my diet was doing my belly no favors. I learned that my lifestyle was not one that was conducive to thriving. And that’s what I wanted. I wanted to thrive.
After uncovering the metaphysics of my illness, I began to let go of the need (yes, the need) to be sick. I continued to make monumental shifts in my psyche and in my environment. The result? A grown woman, wife and mother who has no trace of Crohn’s Disease; a thriving, healthy, happy, hopeful, exuberant, energetic and at-peace woman.
I have a private practice as a Holistic Nutritionist and Energy Healer. Both of these modalities helped me to overcome Crohn’s and much, much more. This is my offering to you. To help you through the unburdening of your past and through the nourishment of your body, mind and soul, to become the best version of yourself.
I love anything cozy and warm. I love long, hot baths, sipping chai tea lattes in bookstores and snuggling with my sweet little girl. I loooove to laugh and I try my very best to make others laugh as often as possible. I love Christmas and decorate our house much, much too early. I’ve been blessed with an incredible husband, daughter, family and awesome friends. I learned a long time ago that life is good. Its just perspective. It’s the attitude of gratitude that makes it all go ‘round and makes all of this worth it.
