The Nourished Soul’s Guide To Vibrant & Conscious Living

SLEEP! Get a minimum of 8 hours per night. Remember that the hours slept before midnight, are the most critical. So try to get in bed early and wake up early. Mimicking the dusk and dawn hours help to keep you in a natural rhythm for sleep.

Eat Real Food! Let go of the ‘food-like-products’ in your cupboards. Shop the periphery of the grocery store and generally stay out of the inner isles. Try to select organic foods when shopping for produce and vegetables that have thin skins like apples, grapes, tomatoes, etc…

Spend time outdoors everyday. We literally come from nature. If we don’t spend some time, everyday, outdoors, breathing in fresh air, listening to sounds of nature and being amongst trees, sunlight, grasses, and the earth, we’re detaching from the most important aspect of ourselves. Get outside and rewire yourself with nature’s rhythms.

Get some unprotected exposure to sunshine as often as you can. Try and get at least 20 minutes of sun exposure (without suntan lotion) everyday. This is our only natural source of Vitamin D. The sun has incredible healing abilities and we need exposure to it as much as possible. When you do decide to put some sunscreen on, use the natural, non-toxic stuff.

Dry skin brushing before a shower or bath. Dry skin brushing is a great way to detoxify your body and get your lymphatic system moving.

Exercise. 30 – 60 minutes 4-6 times a week. If you regularly get outdoors, this shouldn’t be difficult.

Get rid of the toxic chemicals in your house. Ensure that your cleaning products (including laundry detergents) and skin care products do not contain toxic ingredients.

Meditate. I cannot stress how amazing this practice is for you. You can’t do this wrong. Your mind WILL be busy. Let it. Focus on your breath instead. Come up with a healing mantra (‘happy’ could be your healing mantra…it just needs to feel good) and just BREATHE. Take 10 minutes in the morning to do this before you start your day. I promise you…this will change your life.

Connect. Connect with people during your day. By connect, I don’t mean ‘talk to,’ I mean really connect with at least one person today. Make sure you look them directly in the eyes. Make sure you smile. Look at them. See them. Make a connection with someone today.

Feel the feelings and get rid of the story. This is the cornerstone of my baggage-releasing protocol. Feel the feeling…lose the story.” When difficult feelings come up for you, resist the temptation to go into the story about it. Simply sit with the feelings. Don’t analyze them, don’t try and figure them out. Just be with them. They’re just looking for your acknowledgement.

Clean out the clutter. Do you have things in your house or your space or your car that you’re no longer using? Clean it out. Let it go. Donate it to a local charity or drop-box. Clutter in your space creates clutter in your mind and body.

Use your words wisely. Words are like branding machines. They energetically create the world around you and within you. If our thoughts are the idea, our words are the delivered product. Speak in ways that SUPPORT what you want rather than DEFEAT what you want.
